The Butterfly Charity Ball for the Childhood Cancer Support organisation was a truly amazing night. PLACE was pleased to be one of the major sponsors of this event that raised more than $170,000 for children and their families suffering from the effects of cancer and leukaemia.
The evening was hosted by charity patron and Channel Nine newsreader Heather Foord, and supported by Olympic Swimmers Libby Lenton and Ashley Callus, and boxing great Aussie Joe Bugner. Guests were treated to an amazing night of dinner, dancing and entertainment by the Queensland Ribbon Gymnastics, comedian Ian McLaren and Melbourne covers band Sexual Chocolate, while the vocal and silent auctions created some fierce bidding among guests.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Childhood Cancer Support would not be able to provide the vital service that they do without the support of the community and night's such as this.
